February Challenge for Scrap The Girls

Here is my take on the mood board

 My Close ups:

I started by putting inka gold through a prima rose stencil on the Blue Fern Love Story paper Amazing Heart. I trimmed off the edges of the paper and layered onto the Blue Fern Autumn Anthology  paper Penmanship.

The chipboard pieces I coloured with inka gold and then when around the edges with black ink, I also used the inka gold on some metal embellishments. 

I didn't have enough gold flowers so I coloured some white ones with the prima sprays. The black flowers were blending in too much so I rubbed inka gold on the edges.

I tucked some prima gold lace trim and gold seam binding in with the rest of my embellishments then finished off the layout with some gold foil and gold glass glitter.

Scrap The Girls January Reveal

Hi everyone. It's 2016 and to kick off the year there is a new challenge at Scrap The Girls.

This months it is anything goes, there is no moodboard or sketch. Instead you can create any layout at all as long as its about Girls. There is Darkroom Door goddies up for grabs, I was lucky enough to get some of these DRD products to use on this layout.

These are pics of my Niece being silly with a big hat and her Dad's sunglasses, cute photos to go with the Darkroom Door film strip pieces.

My film strips came with photos of flowers in them but I cut out the flowers so I could put in photos of my Niece instead.

I cut up the Darkroom Door word strips and used the words - Love you, Smile and Happiness. I inked these pink and added a black edge.

I used Maja Designs Vintage Summer Basics Collection for this layout. The papers I used were 1921,1922 and 1908

I also used Blue Fern Chipboard from the Picture Perfect pack along with the Blue Fern embossing powder in Cotton Candy, Ebony and Mystic Plum.

Scrap The Girls November Reveal

Welcome to December, where has this year gone????
Today is the Scrap The Girls challenge reveal, this month is a gorgeous mood board to play with.

Here is my layout based on this mood board, I mainly used these beautiful colours for inspiration.

For this layout I used Maja Designs Papers, in A Gift For You Collection (Given From The Heart & Cause You're My Angel) and Vintage Autumn Basics Collection (No XI & No XV)

I used Finnabair Snowflake paste with a flourish stencil on my background - the glitter in this paste is so pretty. I also used Lindy Stamp Gang Spray in Poinsettia Red Gold and Prima Colour Bloom Spray in Deep Teal to add colour to my background.

I used a red glitter embossing powder to colour the Flourish chipboard and white embossing powder to colour the word 'Believe"

I finished with a generous amount of flowers, pearls and glass beads.

Scrap The Girls October Challenge

Oh my it's October already!!!! But a new month means new challenges and Scrap The Girls has a gorgeous mood board this month that is sure to get you inspired.

I used Blue Fern Studio Paper on this layout, paired with loads of Prima flowers and resin frames.

To make the butterflies I put a piece of vellum in the printer and printed off butterfly printables I found on Pinterest. Follow me on Pinterest to find these printables

Chipboard is ScrapFX, I used the Mini Feathers  and the Adorable came from the A Words Set. I coloured these with embossing powder.
