Kaisercraft Design Team 2015 Entry

Hi, Kaisercraft have a design team call on at the moment and I love Kaisercraft products (they have SO many!!!!!) This post is to show three projects that show my style - a layout, an off the page/altered item and a mixed media item or card.

 Choosing just one layout to show was the hardest decision for me because I've made a few Kaisercraft layouts lately and I love them all. But I decided on this layout using the Besty's Couture Collection. Visit my original blog post for this here.

Here is my Off the Page/Altered Item. A Kaisercraft Craft Caddy made with the Rustic Harmony Collection. I posted all the close up photos for this project in a separate post earlier today. I also made a video to go with this project.

Since all my work is mixed media I decided to show two mixed media cards for the last project. I don't make cards very often so I'm a little rusty. The first card is using the Rustic Harmony Collection and the second card is using the Blue Bay Collection.

Kaisercraft Craft Caddy

Hi, I hope everyone's having a nice weekend, I can't wait for the long weekend next week!!!!!

 This week I've been working on a big project making a Kaisercraft Craft Caddy. As you will see in my next blog post I'm going to apply for the Kaisercraft Design Team and they wanted an Off the Page/Altered Item for the application so I decided to make this to enter with. I made a video tutorial to go with this project but since it took me so long to make it. it is not a start to finish tutorial unfortunately or the video might have gone for an hour.

Laugh...... For Scrap FX

Hi, It's my turn on the Scrap FX blog again today. I've been holding on to these photos for a while now just waiting for the right chance to use them, they were taken on my daughter birthday last December. This is her and her best friend trying to take photos in a photo booth at the movies, they were laughing so hard that these were the photos I got - I just love them. 

For this layout I used Maja Design Papers - Vintage Autumn Basics No V & No II, & Vintage Spring Basics 3rd of May & 6th of May. To make my background I used the Damask Stencil (2014054) with modeling paste and the  Ripples Stencil (2014155) with mirco beads and gel medium. On the Instant Photo Frame A (2012113) I coloured them with a brown spray and them embossed them using the Chicken Wire Stamp (2013382) and embossing powder.

I used the Maja Designs Mood board for inspiration for this layout. I used the colours in the  mood board along with three of the words, chipboard, shimmer, feminine.

Beautiful - for 13@rts Challenge #28

Hi there, this layout was made to enter this months challenge over at 13@rts (#28). It's a mood board challenge this month and the mood board is gorgeous!!!!!

I started off by using 13@rts papers from their Faces of Spring Collection.  The papers were: Hair In The Wind, Spring Morning, & Only For The Girls, plus the Sticker Sheet.

The mood board for challenge #28:

There was a twist with this mood board  - it was that you had to use and list three elements from the board. This was easy as the mood board was so lovely so I used heaps more than three. I used the colours (turquoise, black and gold), the white rose buds with gold edges, the frames, the gold splashes,  and the gold glitter. Plus I love the circular black and gold light shades so I used black micro beads in gel medium with the Prima bubbles stencil and then sprinkled gold micro beads on top to get that look.

Prima's new Butterfly Collection for Bella Paperie + Video

Hi, I'm so glad all the new Prima lines are now in stores, I just love them. Pretty Paint Brush Holder + Video

Hi there, last weekend I was cleaning up and organizing my craft space and I needed more storage for my paint brushes and pens. Instead of buying something I thought I make myself a new holder and combine it with a couple of challenges while I was at it. I've used the colours from the current colour challenge over at Lindy's Stamp Gang. My inspiration also came from the current Scraps of Darkness and Scraps of Elegance Challenge (which can be entered on their FB page), that had a pic of paint brushes and this is what made me think to make the holder in the first place.

Imagine-Play-Create Layout for Scrap FX

Hi I'm back again with my second new release layout for Scrap FX.

I loved the title Image-Play-Create (2015022), it's so versatile for scrapbooking children's pages as they are always playing, creating or imaging up new thing to do. So I decided to use this action shot of my daughter on the trampoline, it's her favourite place to play and imagine she's a gymnast.

Another favourite new release of mine this month are the new mini words, on this page I've used words from the B Words (2015008) and C Words (2015009) packs.  The chipboard has been heat embossed with Stampendous embossing powder in either Midnight Black or Aged Rose. On the background I used the Damask Stencil (2014054) and  the Stained Glass Quarter Stencil (2012159) with modeling paste.

Live-Learn-Grow Layout for Scrap FX

Hi, My posts for Scrap FX have been split up this month so I'll be doing one today and tomorrow and then another one later in the month.

First up I have a layout featuring some of the new products that have been released this month.

I used the new Alpha Stencil (2015017) with modeling paste on my background along with some light pink stamping using the Moroccan Tile Stamp (2013351) . For my chipboard I first primed them all with gesso and then used Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powder in Merry-g0-Round Green, Chateau Rose and Madonna Robe Gold. On the Live Learn Grow (2015021) and Do Fun Stuff Corner (2015011) I used a Ranger Emboss It Dabber to emboss each word in a different coloured powder.
