Mixed Media Canvas

Happy Sunday, this is just a very quick post to share a canvas I made with the left over scraps from the Maja Design Denim and Friends collection

I had been testing out some crackle paste on the canvas and decided I liked it so I coloured the crackled canvas with Lindys sprays. I added some gesso with a stencil and lots of stamping before I embellished this canvas with all my left over papers and flowers.

I had some help taking my photos :D

Family Layout using Maja Design Denim and Friends

Hi everyone. Today I have a layout to share that I made for Bella Paperie using the Maja Design paper collection Denim & Friends

For my background I used the Maja Papers Streetwear and Stars & Stripes. I added a little colour to the background by putting Gelatos through a stencil and adding some stamping.
I framed my photo with the Worn Indigo paper.

I used 2Crafty Chipboard on this layout. The piece Parisian Border was coloured with a dark blue Gelato, then I used a gold Gelato to colour the chipboard pieces Foliage Set 1 and my title 'Family' from the Arrow Word Set 2.
I embellished with flowers mainly from Prima, Berry vines, a metal birds nest and Liquid pearls.

Love Today Layout For Bella Paperie

Hi everyone. Today I have a layout to share that I made for Bella Paperie with papers from the Celebr8 Daydreams collection. This is a very pretty paper collection full of delicate pastel colours.

I kept my background quite basic with a little modeling paste and some pink, purple and teal sprays, although I ended up covering most of it up. The background paper is called Forever, plus I used the papers Dream and Memories to back my photo and cut out words.

I have used 2Crafty chipboard which I coloured with pink, purple and teal embossing powders. The chipboard pieces I used where the title Love Today as well as the Flower Doilies and Whispy Dandelions.

I've used a mix of Prima, 49 & Market and Celebr8 flowers

49 and Market Rusty Autumn Collection for Bella Paperie

Happy Saturday everyone.
Today I'm sharing 2 layouts I made with the 49 and Market Rusy Autumn collection. I LOVE 49 and Market as their papers are amazing the the flowers are to die for!

Up first is a layout of my Son
For this layout I used the paper Blooming Autumn as my background because the deep blue colour is stunning. I trimmed and distressed the edges and placed it on top of the Orchard Feast paper.
To back the photo I used the Falling Leaves and Charming papers

To my background I used the Lindy's Gang Magical in Merci Beaucoup Mint mixed with modeling paste and I used this with a stencil.  I then added some splashes with the Lindy's Gang Sprays in Sidewalk Chalk, Shabby Turbine Teal, Tweedle Dee Denim and Steampunk Sepia followed by some stamping.

I used the 2Crafty Chipboard title 'live everyday with intention' that I coloured with the Lindy's Gang Embossing powders Lapis Lazuli Blue Gold and King Midas Gold. I coloured the Corner Elegant Set chipboard with the Lindy's embossing powder in King Midas Gold.
I then used a mix of 49 and Market and Prima flowers to embellish.
To make the butterflies I stamped a butterfly stamp with Versamark and used the Lapis Lazuli Blue Gold embossing powder to colour them.

Inspiration for this layout came from the gorgeous colours in the Lindy's Gang Colour Challenge for November

Here is my next layout using the same collection.
This time I used the papers Sunflower Delight and Pumpkin Patch as my background.
Then I used the papers Falling Leaves and Charming to back my photo and fussy cut images to add to the page.

I've used the gorgeous 2Crafty Chipboard pieces Circle Dot Frames, Mini Flourish Bits, Leafy Shrub Set 1, and My Happy Place title. I primed all these pieces with white gesso then coloured them with Prima Colour Blooms Sprays in Gilded and Sorbet.

Inspiration for this layout came from the More the Words November Challenge Outdoors & Woodgrain. The 49 and Market paper Sunflower Delight has a beautiful woodgrain pattern on it which I used on the top part of my layout. I used this pic of my daughter that was taken outside in our backyard with all the trees in the background.

I used a mix of 49 and Market and Prima flowers

I'm joining the 2Crafty DT in 2018 :D and an Xmas layout

Hi all, I'm very happy to announce that I will be joining the 2Crafty chipboard design team in 2018.
Their chipboard is gorgeous and they have a huge range of amazing chippies to choose so I can't wait to join this team. Plus I'm happy that it means I'll be scrapbooking on a more regular basis next year.

Also to share today is a Christmas layout I made for Bella Paperie using the new Pion collection Christmas Wishes.
I don't really like making xmas layouts, not sure why, I think its the xmas colours that I don't like. But I had this pic of my little boy from last xmas that I wanted to scrap.

I used the Pion paper Heart of Christmas as my background paper, I then used a Gold Gelato through a stencil and some random stamping to add interest to the background.
I used the Pion paper Let it Snow on the banners and behind my photo

I used the 2Crafty chipboard title 'a Christmas Tradition' as my title and I coloured this with a gold gelato. I also used the Wicker Christmas Wreaths chipboard on my layout, I coloured these with a red gelato and added pearls as decorations.

I finished the layout off with lots of red and white flowers and some gold embellishments.

I have made 5 layouts for Bella Paperie this last week so stayed tuned as I will be posting the rest over the weekend :D

October Creations for Bella Paperie with video tutorial

Hi all. Here are my latest creations for Bella Paperie

First up is a layout made with the Stamperia Time is an Illusion Collection. This collection has lots of gorgeous Rust, Red, Teal and Brown colours in it. Bella Paperie has lots of gorgeous Stamperia paper collections in store.

This layout was made with inspiration from the Lindy's October Colour Challenge

These are the Lindy's Products I used:

Up next is a layout made with another Stamperia Collection. This is using the Stamperia Old Lace Collection. I made a video tutorial on how I made this layout. It's the first video I've made in about 7 months so I'm a little rusty :)

Here is my Video:

I used the More than Words October Challenge as inspriation for this layout.
Delicate and fabrics are right up my alley. The fabric I used was lace.

And finally today I have an altered lantern to share.
This was originally a plain Ikea lantern.

I used the Mixed Media Place October Challenge as inspiration for this project. I loved their pastel and delicate moodboard this month. I created the base of this lantern with mixed media, I started by priming it with white gesso. Then I applied a layer of white crackle paste, next I added colour with Prima Artisan Powder in Clay, Inka Gold in Browngold, Finnabair Acrylic Paint in Opal Magic Aqua-Rose and white gesso. I then decorated with flowers, pearl trim, chipboard, metal embellishments and buttons.

September layouts

Hi all, I'm back with a few more layouts to share.

Up first is a layout made with the Swirlydoos August 2017 kit "Sunshine"plus inspiration from the current Swirlydoos Sketch and the Lindy's Gang Colour Challenge.

For my background I used the Blue Fern Wanderlust Paper Pacific Coast from the kit and cut it into strips. I distressed the edges of the paper and glued them to a sheet of cardstock adding lace between the pieces.
I used the Lindy's Spray in Sassy Sapphire and Dark Chocolate Truffle to add colour along with texture paste and stamping. I coloured the chipboard pieces in Lindy's embossing powders in Desert Moon Turquoise and Cafe au Lait.

Here is the Swirlydoos Sketch challenge I used.
I used the August Main Kit plus the August flower add on to make this.
