Two Cards for Sassy Scrapper's Nov Moodboard

Hi there, during the weekend I had some spare time so I thought I might practice my card making. I don't make many cards, mainly because I tend to add too many embellishments to them and they end up looking like a hot mess. So I'm going to try the less is more approach when I comes to cards. I'm quite happy with how these cards turned out, but some more practicing wouldn't hurt. I used the Sassy Scrappers November Moodboard for inspiration when I was making these cards, the colours in it were so beautiful.

I chose the Madeline Collection from Bo Bunny to use on these cards because it went so well with the Sassy Scrappers Moodboard.

Cherish Layout

Hi there, today I've got a page for you that I've made to enter the Lindy's Stamp Gang Colour Challenge and the Once Upon A....Sketch Challenge this month. Lindy's Stamp Gang had a beautiful colour pallet this month, I chose the purple and teal as my main colours on this page. The theme for the Once Upon A...Sketch challenge was inspiration. My daughter is my inspiration for my all my scrapbooking pages as well as my inspiration to strive to be a better person and mother for her.

For my background texture and on my chipboard I mixed Lindy's Stamp Gang Magical in A Bit o'Bubbly with my modeling paste to give the paste some colour. It also gave my chipboard a nice textured look.

I used the Lindy's Stamp Gang Colours Time Travel Teal and Sweet Violet Purple Teal on my background, and also to colour some of the flowers. The background paper is from Blue Ferns Ombre Dream collection - Charlottes Dream, it matched so nicely with the Lindy's colours.

Black splashes added with Lindy's Starburst Spray Black Orchid Silver.

Happy Birthday Layout For Scrap FX

Hey there, today I have the layout I created to the Scrap FX group post. It's the second group post for the Scrap FX blog this month - now that we have such a big design team there will be two group posts a month and new posts nearly every day from different designers!!!! So many amazing creations.
For my page today I decided to use the Number Crunch and Happy Birthday C chipboard pieces and the Number Party Stencil and do a birthday themed page. I chose this photo of my daughter on the day she was born (only a few hours old -it's one of the first photos I have of her). She turns 8 in a couple of weeks, time has gone so fast! So happy birthday baby, before I know it you'll be 18 (AARRGGHHHH).

I used the Number Party stencil with heavy gesso on the background to give a nice white textured look for my layout. I coloured my chipboard with gesso and added a little distress ink to the edges. I had a mishap with the Happy Birthday piece of chipboard - I originally tired to make a card with it and had it embossed with glittered embossing powder. But I didn't like the card so I repurposed the chipboard for this layout and put gesso over the glitter, it turned out abit lumpy :)

The Challenge over at Berry71bleu helped me come up with my idea for this page - their theme this month is early birthdays, and I thought I couldn't get any earlier that the actual birth day.

Love Layout

Hi, I've created this page to enter the 13 Arts challenge #24  where the theme is "the best part of me". I chose to use this photo of myself and my daughter (it's very rare that I'm on the other side of the camera) and I've written " the best part of me is my knowledge which I can share with you". I also combined this with the Scrap Around The World challenge #19 the moodboard this month had such beautiful images. I was inspired by the image of the beautiful flowers, I decided to use the gorgeous golden yellows an rich pinks as my colour pallet. I also loved the pic of the lace curtains so I used lace and doilies on my page as well as some music note resist canvas I had.

I used beautiful 13 Arts papers and mists on this page, along with some Scrap FX chipboard and some really old Prima flowers I had tucked away at the back of my pile.

Sketchabilities Sketch #127 Happiness....

Hi there, this is my first project for Sketchabilities, I'm starting with sketch #127. This sketch was so fun to do, it has three little photos in it - luckily in my massive pile if photos I had some that fitted well for this layout. I've used the Epiphany collection from Prima on this page and some beautiful chipboard from Scrap FX.

Here is the gorgeous sketch I had to work with - hop on over to the Sketchabilities Blog to see the other design team members take on the sketch and have a go at this sketch yourself.

Picture Perfect & Precious Love for Scrap FX

Hi there,  these are my very first DT layouts for Scrap FX. I had so much fun playing with their products - I hope you like the outcome.
First up is a layout titled Picture Perfect

I used the Madeleine range of papers from Bo Bunny for this page.

For the chipboard Picture Perfect and the Flourish Corner mini, I heat embossed them with black embossing powder.

To colour the Mini Swallows and Teagan's Twig chipboard I first coated them with gesso and then coloured them with Faber Castel Gelatos in Guava, Snow cone and Acqua dolce.

I used the Flourish Swirl Stamp with versamark and then heat embossed it with a mix of black and glitter pink embossing powders.

On the background I put some modeling paste through the Scribble Script Stencil. To finish off the page off I added colour with some sprays, added my flowers, embellishments and a few glass beads.

My second layout is titled Precious Love, this is a photo of my Nana and baby Niece
I used papers and flowers from Prima's Stationers Desk collection for this page

I used two stencils on this page, first was the Circle Weave Stencil which I used with Finnabair's Art Basis 3D gloss gel. Next I used the Chevron Small Stencil, where I traced the outline with a black pen then with a fine paint brush I coloured it with a black spray

For the chipboards I coated both with gesso, then for the word precious I embossed with Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powder in Golden Angel Wings. The Love Scribble Frame I coloured  the word love with Red Cherry and Black Licorice Gelatos, the outside circle was coloured with the Butterscotch Gelato then I embossed the frame with the Golden Angel Wings embossing powder.

I had a mini glass vial I filled with glass beads and glitter, I also put abit of gesso over the edges of my flowers to make them look more distressed. I used the Hash Stamps for my background stamping.

A Beautiful Moment layout

Hi there, it's hard to believe is November already - this year has gone so fast. Although since I started entering scrapbooking challenges the start of the month has been my new favourite time because that's when all the new challenges come out :)  But today I have a page I've created for some of the mid month challenges, I've combined  the challenges from 7 Dots Studio who's theme this month is textures and Mixed Media Place where the challenge is the use black, grey, white and one other colour. I chose my other colour to be pink as I had this photo which I love and knew it would be perfect for this challenge.

The 7 Dots theme was texture and I used lots of texture on this, I started by thickly spreading gesso on my paper, I put modeling paste through stencils - then once I added all my inks you couldn't really see it so I did it again. I also have layers of paper under the photo ( I ended up covering most of it up ), Lace, Chipboard, Resin, Metal embellishments and some Glass beads and glitter.

I started with white flowers and coloured them - unfortunately I didn't have colours that exactly match the colours of the flowers in the photo.

For the Ornamental Flourish chipboard pieces I painted them with pink paint them randomly embossed them with black embossing powder.

I added Glass beads and Art Sugar with Finnabair's Soft Gloss Gel.
