October Creations for Bella Paperie with video tutorial

Hi all. Here are my latest creations for Bella Paperie

First up is a layout made with the Stamperia Time is an Illusion Collection. This collection has lots of gorgeous Rust, Red, Teal and Brown colours in it. Bella Paperie has lots of gorgeous Stamperia paper collections in store.

This layout was made with inspiration from the Lindy's October Colour Challenge

These are the Lindy's Products I used:

Up next is a layout made with another Stamperia Collection. This is using the Stamperia Old Lace Collection. I made a video tutorial on how I made this layout. It's the first video I've made in about 7 months so I'm a little rusty :)

Here is my Video:

I used the More than Words October Challenge as inspriation for this layout.
Delicate and fabrics are right up my alley. The fabric I used was lace.

And finally today I have an altered lantern to share.
This was originally a plain Ikea lantern.

I used the Mixed Media Place October Challenge as inspiration for this project. I loved their pastel and delicate moodboard this month. I created the base of this lantern with mixed media, I started by priming it with white gesso. Then I applied a layer of white crackle paste, next I added colour with Prima Artisan Powder in Clay, Inka Gold in Browngold, Finnabair Acrylic Paint in Opal Magic Aqua-Rose and white gesso. I then decorated with flowers, pearl trim, chipboard, metal embellishments and buttons.

Thanks for visiting today

September layouts

Hi all, I'm back with a few more layouts to share.

Up first is a layout made with the Swirlydoos August 2017 kit "Sunshine"plus inspiration from the current Swirlydoos Sketch and the Lindy's Gang Colour Challenge.

For my background I used the Blue Fern Wanderlust Paper Pacific Coast from the kit and cut it into strips. I distressed the edges of the paper and glued them to a sheet of cardstock adding lace between the pieces.
I used the Lindy's Spray in Sassy Sapphire and Dark Chocolate Truffle to add colour along with texture paste and stamping. I coloured the chipboard pieces in Lindy's embossing powders in Desert Moon Turquoise and Cafe au Lait.

Here is the Swirlydoos Sketch challenge I used.
I used the August Main Kit plus the August flower add on to make this.

Also in this post is a few layouts I made recently but forgot to share here :)

5 layouts - I've started Scrapping again :D

Hi, it's been a while since my last post as I have been super busy with a new baby and going back to  work full time. I lost my scrapbooking mojo there for a while but luckily if found it again and I'm back crafting.

This post is full of all the things I've made over the last couple of weeks, I decided to enter a few comps since it's been ages and I needed the inspiration.

First up is a layout I made using the Swirlydoos May kit "Spring Grunge".

I used the colours from the challenge as well as lots of Prima goodies
Prima Products Used:
Rose Quartz Paper Colllection
Prima Flowers
Prima Colour Bloom Sprays - Soft Teal, Peony, Sorbet
Prima Rose Quartz Paper Clips

I used the sketch from Dusty Attic but flipped it, also I used the circle shapes from the dream catchers, and the soft feel from the pictures.

Dusty Attic Products Used:
Word Circles Set 2

For my next layout I used the Swirlydoos July Kit "Sprocket" along with the current Swirlydoos Sketch Challenge

Here is the sketch

I also took inspiration from the More Than Words August Challenge
For this challenge I titled this layout Harmony, as our new little man has brought Harmony into our lives. The song lyric I used was "Tick, Tick, Tick ,Tick, boom!" from the DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince song Boom! Shake The Room because my hubby and son love dancing around to this song and it always results in lots of giggles.

I made this layout using the Blue Fern Spring Parade papers, and used the Lindy's Gang August Colour Challenge for Inspriation

Lindy's Products Used:

Aurora Amethyst

This layout was also made with the Blue Fern Spring Parade paper, and has to be one of my fave ever layouts

My final layout has been made using the Pion Patchwork of Life collection.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope to be back with more very soon!

Swirlydoos Baby Book Tutorial Plus Indigo Dreams Kit Reveal

Hi everyone, by now you have all seen the gorgeous new kit Indigo Dreams from Swirlydoos and today I have the projects I made with this kit to share with you.

Baby Book

To start with I have a video tutorial on how I made a baby book from the Heidi Swapp Memory Files Folder in the main kit. I used the the Scrapberry paper Primavera and coordinating cardstock to make the inside pages plus a few embellishments from the embellishment add on kit.

Here is my video:

Project Kit - Carousel

This month I received the Project add on Kit and in it was this amazing Carousel.
I had a lot of fun making this and it turned out better than I could have imagined.
A string of lights came with this kit which I installed inside the Carousel so it can turn into a pretty night light.
The paper used was the Kaisercraft paper from the main kit, I used the flowers and pearls in the Project add on kit along with a few extra flowers, chipboard and butterflies from my stash.

I Choose Happiness Layout

This is the layout I made for the Sketch Challenge this month. I used the papers, gems and doily from the main kit, flowers from the Flower add on, plus the Kaisercraft collectibles, Cork hearts, twine and wooden people from the Embellishment add on kit. I also added a few extra flowers from my stash.

Here is the sketch
