I brought the Couture Creations GoCut and Emboss machine and I am now in love!!!!

Inspiration

Today I have  layout to share which I have made using a different style.
This month on the Swirlydoos Form Cindy has challenged us to step out of our comfort zone and try something different.
So I made this layout without all my favourite things. I have no sprays, no lace, no doilies, no resin and only 7 small flowers!!! But I love the simplicity to this and I'm so happy with how it turned out.

I have used Prima Timeless Memories papers, plus Prima flowers, leaves, and metal embellishments. The title is from Blue Fern Studios

On the background I used two stencils, one with distress ink and one with Gelatos

The image is from Pinterest

Inspiration for this layout came from the April Prima Build a Page Sketch

For the word escape I didn't go with a holiday pic instead the whole layout is my escape.
For me, escape it going into my craft space, closing the door and relaxing with hours of scrapbooking :)

For Mood Photo, the mood I have for this photo is Inspired. My inspriation comes from Pinterest alot of the time and I love the vintage images on there.

Blue Fern Studios April Layouts with Video Tutorail

Hi, it's my day to share all my latest Blue Fern Studios layouts today!!!
This month I have three layouts from three different collections plus a video tutorial.

Capture the Moment

First up is my video with a layout made from the Love Story Collection. I had been going through my papers looking for something else when I came across this background paper (Cotillion) which I automatically wanted to make a layout with, so that's how this layout came about.

Please enjoy my video here:

Blue Fern Products Used:
Love Story Collection Papers: Cotillon & Concerto
Chipboard: Techno Rings & Captured Words Set
Embossing Powder: Ginger, Honey, 14 Karat, Ebony
Stamps: Forever
Glitter: Pyrite
Flowers: Courtship Roses & Courtship Blooms

Smile

For my second layout I used the Courtship Lane collection with lots of the gorgeous new Courtship flowers. I am so super excited that Blue Fern Studios are now making flowers to go with the collections !!!!!! :D

I used the Bourbon Lane paper as my background piece, which I preped with clear gesso before I added colour with pink and purple sprays.  Next I added texture with a stencil and modeling paste, I also added some sparkle with Dusty Rose Glitter.

I cut the Shabby Brick Panel to the size I wanted, then all I did to this piece was add a coat of white gesso. I coloured my other chipboard with embossing powder, the Chelsea Vines  in Lime and the word Smile with Iris.

I fussy cut out various floral images from the Courtship Lane papers to tuck under my flowers.

I finished my layout with a little random stamping.

Blue Fern Products Used:
Courtship lane collection Papers: Bourbon Lane, Lovers Lane, Calling Cards,
Chipboard: Shabby Brick Panel, Chelsea Vines & Smile from the Laughter, Happy, Smile set
Glitter: Dusty Rose
Embossing Powder: Lilac & Lime
Stamp: Essential Textures & Forever
Flowers: Courtship Roses and Courtship Blooms

 Love

Finally I have the layout I made using this months sketch

The April Sketch

Here are my close ups

I used the Frolic Collection paper Calling Cards as my background paper, then I started the layout by stamping the Vintage Edges stamp in embossing ink and adding the Honey Embossing Powder.  I love the delicate details it adds to the background.

Next I added modeling paste through a stencil,  then a tiny bit of colour with a few splashes of pink mist.

I used the Cotton Candy,  Lime and Honey Embossing Powders to colour my chipboard.  Embossing powder is a very simple way of colouring chipboard as it gives you full coverage very easily. All the Blue Fern Imagine Ink Embossing Powders are opaque so there is no need to prime the chipboard with gesso first so it's even easier.

I cut the butterfly images from the Dans Le Jardin paper then added glitter in Dusty Rose and Peridot  to the wings and liquid pearls down the centre to make easy butterfly embellishments.

Blue Fern Products Used:
Frolic Collection Papers: Calling Cards,  Secretary, Allegro and Dans Le Jardin
Chipboard: Roman Clock Set - small,  Love from the Adore, Love Cherish Word Set,  Mini Flourishes and Ornate Frame
Embossing Powder: Cotton Candy,  Lime and Honey
Glitter: Dusty Rose and Peridot
Stamps: Vintage Edges

Dream Big for Maja Design

Hi, today I have my newest Maja Design layout to share using the Coffee in the Arbour collection.
I love these yellow and maroon colours together, this is a very pretty collection.

I used the Raspberry Lemonade paper as my background, first I cut a square out of the middle to back my photo on.  Next I cut the sides off the Homemade Lemoncurd paper,  I layered the cut pieces under the edges to give more interest.

I added a little colour to my background with some dark pink and yellow splashes, then a Gelato through a grid stencil and modeling paste with a bubble stencil.

I covered my chipboard in white gesso and them went around the edges with a Gelato

I layered some paper under my photo,  as well as some lace and doilies. I cut two tag shapes from the Delicious Moments paper to also tuck under my photo.
Finally I layered on a generous amount of flowers,  chipboard and pearls.

Coffee in the Arbour Collection Papers: Homemade Lemoncurd (both sides), Raspberry Lemonade - bs, Raspberry Jam Cookies, Delicious Moments

I used Blue Fern chipboard:  Flutter Page Dangles  & The Optimist Word Set

Maja Design April Mood Board

Hi, today I have the gorgeous new Maja Design mood board to share with you.
I love these amazing spring colours, so I used my favourite collection - Vintage Spring Basics

Here is the layout I made with this Mood board for inspiration.

The papers I used are :  3rd of March, 3rd of May,  4th of May and 6th of May from the Vintage Spring Basics Collection.
I started this layout but cutting the paper 3rd of March in half diagonally and glued it onto the 3rd of May paper. I used two different stencils, one with modeling paste and the other with Gelatos.
All the chipboard is from Blue Fern Studios and is covered with the Blue Fern Studios embossing powder in Snow.
Finally I layered on my flowers, resin, lace and buttons.
I made the little butterflies by cutting the images out of the 6th of May paper, I added glitter to the wings and liquid pearls to the centre.

Thanks for Visiting
Be sure to head to the Maja Design blog to find out how to enter this gorgeous mood board <3
