Love You: For The Scrapbook Store

Morning. My favourite store was having a DT call and I thought why not give it a go so this is the page I came up with to enter.
I decided to use this pic of my daughter that I've had sitting around for awhile, she looks sweet in it. I'm trying to use the older photos first, I have a massive pile of photos I want to scrapbook it's always hard to choose. I went with the Something Blue paper collection from Prima because I thought the colours in the paper went with the photo well.

I used lots of sprays and gelatos to colour the background, I also added some texture with stencils and modeling paste. On the My Favourite Things: Petal Circle stencil I traced around the dried modeling paste with a watercolour pencil to give it some definition.
I coloured some plain white flowers with the sprays so the colours matched the page.

Happiness: For the Scrap Around The World August Challenge - featuring Dusty Attic Chipboard

Hi. This page was created with dual inspiration, I started of with the Scrap Around the World's August Elegant and Textual Mood Board by Marilyn Rivera.
It had a pic of a catwalk model and fashion which is why I chose this photo of my daughter all done up for a ballet concert. She looks like a mini model and she was trying to pose like one :) The mood board also had beautiful yellow and cream colours that I liked so I decided to use that as my colour palette.
I also based my page on the August sketch from Dusty Attic, using some of their gorgeous chipboard pieces.  http://dustyatticblog.blogspot.com.au/2014/08/august-sketch-challenge.html

I used the Banana coloured Faber Castel Gelato for the background colour and used the Prima Stencil - Fleur with modelling paste to give some texture.
On the bottom layer of the chipboard piece I covered it in gesso then used The Crafters Workshop stencil - mini Art Is with modelling paste for texture. I then sprayed it with the Lindy's Stamp Gang spray - Glory of the Seas Gold to give only the writing colour. It came up really well. The top piece of chipboard I coated in gesso and coloured with the Banana Gelato.
All my flowers started of white and I sprayed them with the Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays to match the page.

Together: For Once Upon A .....Sketch August Challenge

Hi, Its been busy this weekend, I managed to get two pages completely done as well as a full spring clean of our house. This page is for the Once Upon a ...Sketch challenge "The men in our lives" (http://onceuponasketchblog.blogspot.com.au/).
I chose this older pic of my husband and daughter having a nice time together at the beach, as he is the best man in her life. I don't usually put journaling on my pages and I know why as I put a spelling mistake on this page, but otherwise I'm really happy with how I turned out.

I chose blue and red colours to go with the colours in the photo, and to add those colours I used gelatos and Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays
I found these sea shells at a budget store the other day, they go so well on a beach page

I coloured the chipboard word with gelatos, Acqua Dolce and Boysenberry to give it that two toned effect.
As always I used modelling paste and stencils to give the background texture, as well as some random stamping.

Delight: For Prima's August Build a Page Sketch

Hi, I used Prima's August Build A Page Challenge for the inspiration for this page. This is one of my favourite pics of my little angel - if only she was so sweet all of the time :)
I decided on pale pinks and yellows for this page to give it a soft delicate feel, I used the lovely Prima color bloom sprays in Cotton Candy and Sunshine for the colours.

I used paper strips and the Prima bubble stencil with modelling paste to give the page the lines similar to the ones in the Sketch

For extra dimension to the background I stamped randomly using stamps from Prima's Time Traveller and Cartographer collections

Dreamer: For Prima Products Picks August Challenge

This page was created to enter Prima's Products Picks August Challenge. It had a lovely colour palette of soft pinks, teals and yellow.  I went with mainly the pink and teal colours as I thought they looked gorgeous together.

I tried out  ripping the background paper and sticking it back together for more texture, it looks better in person than it photographed.

Here's some close ups
I love my new Prima brick wall stencil, I used it heaps on this page with some modelling paste.

I coloured the wood embellishment with the Prima colour bloom spray.

7 Dots Studio and Lindy Stamp Gang August Challenge

I created this page with combined inspiration from the 7 Dots Studio's July-August challenge theme of Summer and used the colours from the Lindy's Stamp Gang's August colour challenge.
I loved these summery pics of my daughter on the beach.

I used 7 Dots Studio papers and chipboard and Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays and embossing powder - see list of the products used below.

I covered the square frame in embossing powder and heated it to give to a lovely shiny finish.
The chipboard was coated in gesso and sprayed with Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays to colour them.
All the flowers started off white and were sprayed to match the page
Real shells were used that we had collected from the beach.
